International Workshop on Biorefinery of Lignocellulosic Materials

Results from our on-going projects were presented at IWBLCM2019 in Córdoba, Spain.

BCBT group participated in the 2nd International Workshop on Biorefinery of Lignocellulosic Materials (IWBLCM2019) that took place in Córdoba, Spain, from 4th to 7th of June, 2019.

The conference program covered different topics related to biorefinery of biomass, circular economy and sustainable development. These topics included: new raw materials, analysis and characterization of biomass, pretreatment, fractionation processes, catalytic and biocatalytic conversion to fuels and fine chemicals and chemical platforms, clean technologies, biobased polymers, natural fiber based polymeric composites, nanocellulose, derivatives of cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and extractives, life cycle assessment and food additives from lignocellulosics, among others.

A plenary lecture entitled "Sustainable approaches for implementation in biorefineries" was delivered by Solange Mussatto on 6th of June.
